Professor Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan, writing as a member of a group of distinguished economists styling themselves the “Resiliency Authors,” has co-authored a new brief on Brexit and the steps that are needed to ensure the resilience of the European Union (EU) going forward.  Despite the diversity of perspectives represented among the Resiliency Authors, they are in substantial agreement about the necessary measures.  While generally optimistic about the EU’s future, they emphasize the importance of enforcing recently-adopted rules created to enhance the stability of the financial system and taking steps to reduce the risk of government default.  The brief was read more than 40,000 times within a week of being posted.  Read the brief.
