Erkut Ozbay’s research focuses on experimental economics, behavioral economics and market design, exploring the behavioral underpinnings of actors’ decisions in a variety of contexts. Professor Ozbay joined the Maryland faculty in 2007. He is the founder and director of the Experimental Economics Laboratory at the University of Maryland, which provides faculty and PhD students with state-of-the-art facilities to assist their studies. Ozbay attended Bogazici University in Turkey, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1998 and a master’s degree in Economics in 2000. He earned his Ph.D. in economics at New York University in 2007.
